Personal data we process
Scrape IT processes your personal data when you use our services and/or when you provide it to us yourself. Below you will find an overview of the personal data we process through our website:
Contact form
- First and last name
- Phone number
- Email address
- IP address
- The email message
Minors
Due to the business nature of our website, our website is not intended for persons under the age of 16. However, we cannot verify whether visitors are under 16. Upon request, we will delete the data of minors under 16 who have visited our website.
Purpose and legal basis for processing personal data
Scrape IT processes your personal data when you have given consent or for the performance of a contract. We do this for the following purposes:
- The delivery of our services.
- Sending sales invoices, quotes, and other commercial documents.
- Sending our newsletter, product information, and other promotional emails, if you have signed up for these.
- To be able to call or email you if necessary to perform our services.
- To inform you about changes to our services and products.
In addition, we also process personal data when we are legally obligated to do so, such as data needed for our tax returns.
Automated decision-making
To protect our contact form against SPAM, this feature is disabled for visitors from countries where a lot of SPAM originates. Furthermore, Scrape IT does not make decisions based on automated processing about matters that can have (significant) consequences for individuals.
Data retention
We do not retain data longer than necessary. This means we keep data as long as it is needed to provide the service you requested. Exceptions are data we are legally required to retain for longer periods.
Disclosure to third parties
We share your data with third parties only when necessary for the delivery of products or services you have ordered. For example, we use a third party for payment processing in our webshop. All emails we receive and send are stored via Microsoft's cloud service Office 365. In addition to Microsoft's email service, we use Reeleezee for our accounting.
When we share your data with a third party, we ensure (through agreements, among other things) that your data is not used for other purposes. We also agree that your data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer needed.
Furthermore, we will not share your data with other parties unless legally required or permitted. For example, the police may request data from us in the context of a fraud investigation. In that case, we are legally obligated to provide this data.
Functional cookies
Functional cookies are necessary for our website to function properly. These cookies are placed without consent. Functional cookies ensure, among other things, that you can stay logged in during your visit to our website. These cookies also ensure that products remain in your shopping cart when you want to make a purchase through our webshop. Through the newsletter subscription forms, cookies are also placed by our partner Mailmunch. These ensure the visibility of the form (or popup) when you have dismissed it or completed a subscription.
Analytical cookies
Analytical cookies allow us to measure website visits. These statistics give us insight into how often our website is used, what information visitors are looking for, and which pages are visited most. This helps us understand which parts of the website are popular and where we can improve. We continuously analyse and improve the website to make the experience as pleasant as possible for visitors. The statistics we collect cannot be traced back to individuals. This data is therefore always used anonymously (your IP address is anonymized).
Affiliate cookies
Some blog posts contain affiliate links. When you follow these links, a cookie is placed when loading the partner site. These affiliate cookies are only placed to track whether we receive a commission from our partner. The privacy impact for our visitors is minimal, so no consent is required.
Viewing, modifying, or deleting data
You have the right to view, correct, or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw any consent for data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by Scrape IT, and you have the right to data portability. This means you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold about you in a computer file to you or to another organization of your choice.
You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data, or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data to info@scrape-it.com. To verify that the request has been made by you, we ask you to include a copy of your identity document with the request. In this copy, please black out your photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and citizen service number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request within four weeks.
Filing a complaint
We would like to inform you that you have the option to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). You can do so via the following link: https://autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl/nl/meldingsformulier-klachten.
